EVP
Electronic Voice Phenomena or EVP is one of the most fascinating aspects of paranormal research. Unlike in a photograph or video we believe we can actullay hear the voices of the dead speak. EVP is a voice or noise that was not heard at the time a recording was made but becomes apparent upon playback of the recording. Sometimes we hear random messages as if they may be reliving a moment in their life. Other times we hear direct answers to questions we have asked or comments about things we are discussing. EVP's are generally very short, no more than a few words and are often no louder than a whisper. It stands to reason that this is because there must be some sort of energy needed at the time the EVP is recorded in order for those in Spirit to get their message across to us. What that energy is we do not yet know. Before the digital revolution it was believed that EVP was recorded by the voice imprinting itself on the tape. These days most researchers are using digital audio recorders which do not require tapes but are still recording EVP. This rules out the "impression" theory. Skeptics claim that EVP is nothing more than random radio waves being picked up by the recording device however EVP's that are direct answers to questions being put forth seem to discount this theory. We rate EVP's by how easy it is to hear and understand what is being said.
Class A- Voices that are easily heard and understood
Class B- Voices that are fairly clear and easy to understand
Class C- Voices no louder than a whisper that usually require headphones to hear
Here we have presented an assortment of EVP's we have recorded for you to listen to and decide for yourself if you are hearing a message from beyond the grave. On most of the EVP's we have included the original untouched recording as well as a filtered and amplified version. We have not posted what we believe the voice is saying because often when people are told what to listen for then that is what they will hear. We enjoy receiving any comments about what others hear on our EVP's. You can send us feedback

Recorded with an analog recorder on Great Valley Rd. in Yorktown, VA. The next three EVP's were all recorded on the same night. We recorded what sounds like electronic interference as well as the unusual sounding "voice" that seems to comment on what one of our investigator's was saying.
In this first one our investigator had just asked "do you hear something" and the "voice" responds "she won't hear it".
